저희 연구실에서는 올해 국제 학회 SIGIR에 다음 논문 세 편을 출판하게 되어 이탈리아 파도바에 다녀왔습니다.

흥미로운 통계들

올해 SIGIR full paper track에는 총 1105편의 논문이 제출되었으며, 그중 약 21.5%(238편)이 Accept 되었습니다.  

올해 가장 많이 제출 및 게재된 연구 분야는 'Recommender Systems' 였으며, 'Natural Language Processing for IR', 'Search and Ranking', 'Machine Learning for IR' ,'Multi Modal IR' 등이 그 뒤를 이었습니다.

참가자 통계에서 우리나라는 6위로 꽤 높은 순위에 있었고,  제출 편수는 5위, acceptance rate은 12위에 위치하였습니다.

Main Conference

학회 기간동안 우리 연구실의 박성민, 이선경, 김혜영 학생이 세 편의 논문 발표를 진행하였습니다. 

Banquet

Main conference 둘째날 Banquet이 진행되었습니다. 파도바에서 30분정도 거리에 위치한 Villa Contarini로 이동하여 멋진 저녁 식사를 했습니다.

학회 시작 전후로 로마와 베네치아 여행을 했습니다. 매일매일 2만보 이상 걸었지만 멋진 풍경에 힘든줄 모르고 즐겼습니다.
